An animal release tool for initiating release of a clamped jaw of a dog. The tool includes a vibratable probe 3 connected at a proximate end 3b to a handle means 2 and an actuator 4 for selectively operating the vibration of the probe 3. At least part of the probe is selectively moveably mounted to cause vibration of the distal end 3a of the probe remote from the handle. In use the tool is arranged to communicate a vibrating sensation to the animal on contact of the probe with the animal. There may be a sleeve 7 and a cover 5 detachable to the sleeve. A guard portion (20, fig 5) may be provided between the handle and vibratable probe. |
