PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element which has a high efficiency, and shows high stability over a longer term.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element comprises: a first electrode covered with an electron transport layer; and a second electrode opposed to the electron transport layer of the first electrode. In the photoelectric conversion element, the electron transport layer is covered with a material expressed by the general formula (1) below. (In the general formula (1), R represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; Xand Xeach represent a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group; Yand Yeach represent an acidic group or hydrogen atom; Yand Ymay be identical to each other or not, but one of them is an acidic group; and n represents an integer of 1-3.) |
