摘要 A vehicle (100) converts DC power from a power storage device (110) into AC power by an inverter (130) to run by driving a three-phase motor generator (140). A switching unit (170) is provided at a path electrically connecting the motor generator (140) and the inverter (130). The switching unit (170) includes a relay (RYU, RYV, RYW) corresponding to each phase. Each relay is configured to connect a coil of a corresponding phase in the motor generator (140) to a corresponding driving arm in the inverter (130), or to a connection node (P20) of capacitors (C21, C22) connected in series between direct current side terminals of the inverter (130). When short-circuit failure is detected at a switching element of any one of the phases in the inverter (130), an ECU (300) switches the relay of the corresponding phase in the switching unit (170) to the side of the connection node (P20).
