The ski binding has a toe sided shoe retainer assembly (5) and a heel-sided shoe retainer assembly (6). The rail arrangement is arranged and fixed on a ski. The rail arrangement is extended in a ski longitudinal direction. Both the shoe retainer assemblies are movably inserted in longitudinal manner. The former shoe retainer assembly is lockably fixed on the ski and on the rail. The latter shoe retainer assembly is fixed in the former shoe retainer assembly by a tensioning element (29).
