摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign substance removal apparatus and foreign substance removal method in which a foreign substance can be removed efficiently from uranium-oxide powder and a cleaning property is also improved, and a method of manufacturing a high-quality uranium-oxide pellet, a uranium-oxide pellet with which a fuel aggregate can be manufactured with high yield, or a fuel aggregate.SOLUTION: A foreign substance removal apparatus 1 is provided which comprises a magnetic force removal section 5 and a sieve 6. In the magnetic force removal section 5, a plurality of lines and a plurality of stages of rod-like magnets 10 are arranged to prevent them from being rotated. In each of the rod-like magnets 10, a magnet train 12 is accommodated so as to be freely inserted to and detached from an outer pipe 11. In the magnet train 12, magnet pieces 14 and yokes 15 are arrayed alternately. The sieve 6 is disposed at an upstream or downstream side with respect to the magnetic force removal section 5. A foreign substance removal method includes the step of passing uranium-oxide powder through the foreign substance removal apparatus 1. A method of manufacturing a uranium-oxide pellet using the uranium-oxide powder obtained by the foreign substance removal method and a method of manufacturing a fuel aggregate are also provided.
