<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a permanent magnet motor having excellent demagnetization characteristics, and to provide a hermetic electric compressor exhibiting high reliability under high temperature environment.SOLUTION: In a permanent magnet embedded motor, the stator includes a stator core, a plurality of slots formed in the stator core, and an armature winding to be inserted into the slots. The rotor includes a rotor core, a q-axis cut portion where the rotor core is cut, magnet insertion holes formed in the rotor core, permanent magnets, and slits formed on the outer peripheral side of the magnet insertion holes. The outer peripheral side face of the magnet insertion hole is parallel with the cut face of the q-axis cut portion, and following relationship is set; t2<t1≤t3, where t1 is the minimum dimension between the outer periphery of the rotor and the slit, t2 is the minimum dimension between the long side of the magnet insertion hole and a slit located at the outermost peripheral side, and t3 is the minimum dimension between the outer peripheral side face of the magnet insertion hole and the cut face of the q-axis cut portion.</p> |
