<p>Disclosed are a mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same. The mobile terminal includes: a battery gauge which senses the remaining amount of a battery; a memory which stores at least one piece of alarm information including time of outputting an alarm; and a control unit which monitors the battery remaining amount sensed by the battery gauge, and makes the alarm output regardless of time of outputting the alarm when the sensed battery remaining amount is equal to or less than a first reference value. According to the present invention, failure of alarm output, caused by discharge of the battery, can be prevented by controlling the output of the alarm according to the result of monitoring the battery remaining amount.</p> |
