The present disclosure relates to a combination comprising (S)-4-amino-N-(1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxypropyl)-1-(7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl)piperidine-4-carboxamide also known as AZD5363, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, hereafter “Compound (I)”, and a taxane. Taxanes include established cancer drugs such as docetaxel (Taxotere) and paclitaxel (Taxol). Such combinations may be useful in the treatment or prophylaxis of cancer. The disclosure also relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising such Compound (I) and a taxane. The disclosure further relates to a method of treatment comprising the simultaneous, sequential or separate administration of Compound (I) and a taxane, to warm-blooded animal, such as man. The disclosure also relates to a kit comprising Compound (I) and a taxane, optionally with instructions for use. |
