<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stand for a display which has a small a projection area to a floor and is in harmony on appearances with surroundings. <P>SOLUTION: The stand 20 for the display with the display 9 disposed at a side end part of a top plate 5 includes: a back part fixture 40 attached to the back part of the display 9; and a frame member 30 to which the back part fixture 40 is fixed. The frame member 30 includes a head portion 30A to which the back part fixture 40 attached to the display 9 is tightened to support the display 9, and a frame lower part 30B positioned underneath the head portion 30A and including fixing pieces 39a projecting toward a frame surface outer direction. The fixing pieces are inserted into insertion holes 70a bored in legs 2 supporting the side end parts of the top plate 5 and in the width direction of the top plate 5 and opened toward the side outer part of the top plate 5.
