<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil wire capable of combining reduced eddy current loss and lightness and a coil structure using it.SOLUTION: A wire 1 comprises a plurality of element wires 3a and 3b, an insulation coating 5 and so on. The element wires 3a and 3b are composed of metals having mutually different conductivities. More specifically, the element wire 3a is made of copper or a copper alloy, and the element wire 3b is made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. An interstitial layer 7 is formed between the element wires 3a and 3b. The element wires 3a and 3b have nearly rectangular cross sections of nearly the same width. The wire 1 has a nearly rectangular cross section as a whole, with a plurality of the element wires 3a and 3b laminated in the thickness direction. A coil wire which is light and low-cost and is less affected by resistance increase is obtainable by laminating aluminum and copper in such a way as to establish appropriate lamination conditions for aluminum.</p> |
