<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll-shaped printing medium holding structure and a printer capable of clearly instructing a delivery direction of a printing medium and a position of an insertion port for inserting the printing medium, capable of protecting a region being out of the printing medium on a paper feed path and capable of suppressing the entering of dust, when using a narrow roll-shaped printing medium.SOLUTION: The roll-shaped printing medium holding structure includes: a storage part 5A which has a first side surface 51 and a second side surface 52 restricting the motion of roll-shaped recording paper 7A in the width direction, and which stores the roll-shaped recording paper 7A in a rotatable manner in a delivery direction and stores it; and a partitioning member 6 which is installed inside the storage part 5A and which configures a new storage part 5 by restricting roll-shaped recording paper 7 having width narrower than the width of the roll-shaped recording paper 7A in the storage part 5A. The partitioning member 6 is configured by having: a fixing part 61 to be fixed at the storage part 5A; a third side surface 63 for restricting the width direction of the roll-shaped recording paper 7 in cooperation with the second side surface 52; and an extension part 65 formed by extending in the delivery direction from the storage part 5A.</p> |
