<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat that has superior operability by enabling proper removal of engagement and re-engagement between an engaging part and a support part. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle seat includes: a sitting section; a support part that supports an occupant from behind; a flip-up mechanism that flips up the sitting section; an impelling member that impels the support part to recline the support part forward; the engaging part that is engaged with the support part so as to keep the support part in a rising state against an impelling force of the impelling member; a release mechanism that releases the engaging part and the support part from each other by utilizing a flip-up action of the flip-up mechanism; and a return mechanism that performs a return action for returning the support part in the state of being released from the engaging part by the release mechanism, to the state of being engageable with the engaging part. The return mechanism performs the return action according to a tilt angle of the support part reclined forward by the impelling force of the impelling member because engagement of the engaging part and the support part are released from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
