The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for measuring deformation of a rolled coil. The apparatus comprises a camera unit photographing a side image of a coil including a coil inner circle part; a control part measuring actual horizontal and vertical diameters of the coil inner circle part, and calculating degree of deformation at the ratio of the actual diameters; and a storage part for storing the calculated degree of deformation corresponding to the coil information.
