A rigid shoe shell of a skate has a heel portion (10), two quarter portions (11) respectively extending from two opposite sides of the heel portion (10), and at least one resilient cushion region (20, 20A, 30, 40) formed on an upper edge (13, 113) of the rigid shoe shell. In some embodiments each of the at least one resilient cushion region (20, 20A, 30, 40) has multiple strips (22, 22A, 32, 42) that have an upper distal end being a free end. Since the strips (22, 22A, 32, 42) are bendable, the upper edge (13, 113) of the rigid shoe shell resiliently presses against a lower leg of a wearer of the skate without rubbing against the lower leg of the wearer, thereby providing good protection effect. |
