PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner that facilitates electrical connection of the optical scanner and a body.SOLUTION: An optical scanner 40 which is installed to an installation part of an image formation apparatus through an opening of the image formation apparatus comprises: a light source 401 emitting a light beam; a deflector 41 deflecting the light beam emitted from the light source so as to scan a photoreceptor with the light beam; an optical box 400 holding the light source and storing the deflector therein; and an electric wire bundle 404 electrically connected to the deflector. The optical box includes: an outer wall 406; an inner wall 407 extending along and facing the outer wall; and a space 455 for disposing an electric wire bundle between the outer wall and the inner wall. The electric wire bundle is disposed from an inner space of the inner wall across the inner wall to a space between the outer wall and the inner wall, and guided from the space between the outer wall and the inner wall across the outer wall to a space outside the optical box. A portion of the electric wire bundle across the outer wall is arranged closer to the opening than a portion of the electric wire bundle across the inner wall, with the optical scanner attached to the installation part.
