摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray foreign matter detector that can prevent the foreign matter detecting performance from deterioration by reducing deviations between two X-ray images obtained by an energy subtraction method. <P>SOLUTION: An X-ray foreign matter detector comprises: a first supporting member 71 that supports an X-ray line sensor 51 kept in an attitude parallel to an X-ray line sensor 52 and is configured to permit position adjustment in the direction of checkup object carriage; a position adjusting member 74 that adjusts the position of the first supporting member 71 in the direction of checkup object carriage; a position adjustment determining unit that acquires a first waveform, which is the waveform of first X-ray image data in the direction of checkup object carriage, and a second waveform, which is the waveform of second X-ray image data in the direction of checkup object carriage, and determines the direction of position adjustment and the extent of position adjustment of the first supporting member 71 on the basis of a phase difference of the tip of the second waveform from the tip of the first waveform; and a display unit that displays the result of determination by the position adjustment determining unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p>
