PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel medical application using a pluripotent stem cell (Muse cell) in regenerative medicine.SOLUTION: The invention provides a cell preparation for treating chronic renal dysfunction containing a SSEA-3 positive pluripotent stem cell separated from a mesenchymal tissue of an organism or a cultured mesenchymal cell. The cell preparation of the invention is based on the kidney tissue regeneration mechanism that a Muse cell differentiates into cells constituting kidney in a tissue by intravenously administering the Muse cells to a subject of the above disease to make them selectively accumulate in a damaged part of the kidney.
