The present invention relates to a library management system comprising a library management agent and an identification code reader to manage documents stored in a library. More specifically, provided is a library management system capable of: producing identification codes to be attached to documents by means of the library management agent; and scanning the identification codes attached to the documents by means of the library management agent to perform document management, including checking in and out, destroying and transferring corresponding documents, to manage boxes storing documents and to investigate matching of the documents. To that end, the present invention comprises an identification code reader and a library management agent, wherein the identification code reader scans the identification code attached to a document, and the library management agent, on the basis of the values scanned by the identification code reader, performs document checkin and checkout, destruction and transfer managements, document management, box management and matching investigation. |
