The present invention relates to a polyester film with excellent light-shielding properties and a manufacturing method thereof and, more specifically, to a light-shielding polyester film, which comprises a porous carbon dioxide inorganic particle and a titanium dioxide inorganic particle inside a polyester resin, wherein the carbon dioxide inorganic particle is mixed the mutually coagulated particles thereof with the particles which are not coagulated. The present invention represents high light-shielding properties without insertion of an excess of an organic particle, can be broadly used in a film comprising an insulation material for an industrial use in an economic manner.
