<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus that changes the number of connection lane connected to connection target equipment flexibly according to connection conditions. <P>SOLUTION: A printer control substrate 420 comprises: a card adapter 300 that is connected to a print head via PCI Express; a detection part 425 that detects insertion/withdrawal of an optical active cable 500 into/from the card adapter 300; a determination part 426 that determines the number of connection lane connected to the print head when the insertion/withdrawal of the optical active cable 500 is detected; and a communication part 427 that communicates with the print head with the determined number of connection lanes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
