<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive transmission device capable of restricting damage of a planetary gear mechanism at the time of operation for attaching/detaching a body of rotation while securing an alignment effect, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A drive transmission device is equipped with a planetary gear mechanism comprising: a cylindrical housing; an internal gear provided in the housing; sun gears rotating by receiving rotational drive force from a driving source disposed coaxially with the internal gear; a plurality of planetary gears disposed circumferentially in the internal gear and engaging with the sun gears and the internal gear; carriers supporting the planetary gears rotatably and rotatable coaxially with the sun gears and the internal gear; and an output shaft provided in the carrier. The drive transmission device transmits rotational drive force to a body of rotation via a rotation shaft connected to the output shaft. The output shaft side of the housing and the end of the opposite side of the drive transmission device are fixed to each other by a fixing member, and energization control means energizes an electromagnet when attaching/detaching the body of rotation and stops energization of the electromagnet when the body of rotation is attached. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
