<p>A shaping method is provided by which it is possible to obtain a precisely shaped object, e.g., a lens, that is constituted of a cured object excellent in terms of transparency, etc. and having a small Abbe number. The shaping method comprises a deformation step in which a material to be shaped and a transfer member having a shape to be transferred are brought into contact with each other to deform the material along the shape to be transferred, a curing step in which at least the deformed part of the material is cured, and a separation step in which the material and the transfer member are separated from each other, wherein the steps of transferring the shape to the material to be shaped are repeated a plurality of times. The material to be shaped is a curable composition which comprises (a) fine silica particles, (b) a (meth)acrylate compound having two or more ethylenically unsaturated groups and having no ring structure, (c) a (meth)acrylate compound having two or more ethylenically unsaturated groups and having an aromatic ring structure, and (d) a polymerization initiator, the surface of the fine silica particles (a) having been treated with specific silane compounds (e) and (f).</p> |
