PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of unfinished correction of the blur component of an image.SOLUTION: An optical transfer function (OTF) is selected for each area of a captured image, depending at least on the imaging state, an image restoration filter for correcting the color aberration is created from the optical transfer function (OTF) thus selected, and then the color aberration of the captured image is corrected using the image restoration filter. Furthermore, the characteristics of bleeding of each region are calculated when the image restoration filter is used. From the calculation results of the characteristics of bleeding, bleeding of the edge of an image, the color aberration of which is corrected using the image restoration filter, is detected before being removed. |
