The present invention provides lightweight coated paper for printing with industrial ink-jet printers which comprises base paper and, disposed on one or both surfaces of the base paper, one or more coating layers each comprising one or more pigments and a binder, each surface having a total coating amount of 6 g/m2 or less. In each coating layer, at least one of the pigments is heavy calcium carbonate having an average particle diameter of 0.50-1.00 µm, and the content of the heavy calcium carbonate is 50 parts by mass or greater per 100 parts by mass of the total pigment amount in the coating layer. The coated paper has an opacity of 92.0% or higher, a Stockigt sizing degree of 1.0-8.0 seconds, and a 10-second Cobb sizing degree of 30-80 g/m2, the rate of the 10-second Cobb sizing degree to the Stockigt sizing degree being 10.0-40.0. |
