Disclosed are an alarm providing apparatus using advertisement content according to one embodiment of the present invention, and an operation method therefor. The apparatus may comprise: an input unit for receiving an alarm setting input from a user; a control unit for setting an alarm condition according to the alarm setting input, determining whether to providing an alarm including advertisement content according to the alarm condition, and generating content viewing information on whether a view of the advertisement content has been completed, by determining whether the view of the advertisement content has been completed; an output unit for providing the alarm according to the determination; and a communication unit for transmitting the content viewing information and receiving a reward by responding the transmission. |
