<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a component deterioration degree associated with transportation of a recording material in an image forming device capable of using the recording materials of different types. <P>SOLUTION: With respect to a component of an image forming device which deteriorates in association with transportation of a recording material which forms an image, the present invention performs to: detect, by a parameter condition selecting/changing section 51, a changeover of a type of the recording material causing a discontinuity in a progress of deterioration in the component, the type of the recording material immediately before the changeover, and a period that the type immediately before the changeover is used; select a relational expression to be used from the relation expressions for respective types which determine relations between a number of the transported recording materials and the degrees of deterioration in the component by a prediction expression selecting/changing section 52; and calculate the degree of the deterioration (an increment) in the component during the period that the type immediately before the changeover is used as well as the degree of the deterioration in the component by obtaining a cumulative total thereof by a deterioration calculation section 53. Additionally, a remaining day calculation section 54 obtains an approximate curve showing a transition of the degree of the deterioration in the component and predicts the period until the degree of the deterioration in the component reaches a limit value from the approximate curve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
