A cup 10 including a cup body formed from a liquid impervious flexible material, having an upper portion 17, middle portion 15 and base portion 19. Hinges 12a, 12b are disposed around circumferential locations between the middle portion and upper portion, and more hinges 13a, 3b are disposed between the base portion and middle portion. A central band 16 is present around the middle portion of the body, and has indentations, undulations or crenellations which provide thermal insulation. The cup body is foldable into itself so as to be collapsible, by way of the circumferential hinges, so as to adopt a nested concentric form. The cup is intended to be re-useable. The impervious material may be a styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene (SEBS) thermoplastic elastomer, which may have a hardness in excess of 20 Shore A. The thickness of the central band may be between 0.1 and 0.3 mm, and the hardness of the band may be between 50 and 70 Shore D. Further bands 14 and 18 may be present around the base and upper portion respectively. |
