<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which temperature of a thermal head is made to greatly contribute to improvement of printing quality even if a printing cycle is varied. <P>SOLUTION: First, a basic energizing pulse is determined based on the detected temperature of the thermal head (S102, S104 and S105). Next, the printing cycle is determined based on the determined basic energizing pulse and predetermined time (S110). Thereafter, a history correction pulse is determined based on a history correction factor corresponding to the determined printing cycle and the determined basic energizing pulse (S111 and S112). The printing cycle is switched to the determined one, and history control is performed so as to use either the determined history correction pulse or the determined basic energizing pulse based on the printing history (S113 and S114). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
