The present invention relates to a heat pump system for a vehicle and, more specifically, relates to a heat pump system for a vehicle wherein an outdoor temperature is a set temperature or less and a vehicle enters into an idle during a heat pump mode, making a coolant bypass an outdoor heat exchanger; and controlling to turn-off a fan installed in the outdoor heat exchanger, thereby maintaining a heating performance by continuously operating a heat pump mode, reducing power consumption by not requiring an additional operation of an electric heater, and preventing excessive fan noise when the vehicle gets into the idle sub-zero temperature.
