<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent false detection even in a light reception state to be determined that an object of detection is in a detection target position in the presence of noise light incidence. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor 1 includes a light projection section 101 for projecting light for detection, a light reception section 102 for receiving reflected light of the projected light, and a CPU 10 functioning as a detection section. The CPU 10 is provided with the functionalities of first discrimination means for determining whether or not a distance between an object of detection and the sensor 1 complies with a predetermined reference distance on the basis of a light reception state of the light reception section 102, and second discrimination means for determining whether or not a degree of change in a parameter indicating an amount of received light or a sensitivity parameter adjusted with fluctuating amount of received light is within a predetermined tolerance. When the discrimination means determine that the distance to the object complies with the reference distance and the degree of parameter change is within the tolerance, the sensor 1 outputs a detection signal indicating the detection of the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
