PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curved surface backlight unit in which light applied from a light source is made incident to a bent plate shape photoconductive member without loss, thereafter, can be made to diffuse and be refracted and, thereby, the bent plate shape photoconductive member can be made bright evenly by light from the light source, and to provide a display device provided with the curved surface backlight unit.SOLUTION: A curved surface backlight unit includes: a light source which emits light by electric power source application; a photoconductive member which emits light applied from the light source to an upper part; and a bottom chassis in which a light source stably fitting part for stably fitting the light source and a photoconductive member stably fitting part for stably fitting the photoconductive member are prepared. Therein, the bottom chassis is characterized in that the light source stably fitting part is connected along both inner side surfaces, the photoconductive member stably fitting part is formed to be arcuate, the photoconductive member is formed in a bent plate shape having arcuate upper edge surface and lower edge surface, and the light source is arranged so as to continue to a substrate fastened to the light source stably fitting part while leaving an interval. |
