This invention provides a red coloring composition, for use in a color filter, that can form a red colored film having low incident-angle dependence and improves the color-separation properties of a solid-state imaging element containing said colored film. This invention also provides said colored film, said color filter, and said solid-state imaging element. This red coloring composition for use in a color filter contains a red colorant, a near-infrared absorber, and a polymerizable compound. When said coloring composition is used to form a colored film having a thickness of 0.8 µm, the maximum transmittance of said colored film at wavelengths of 400 to 550 nm is at most 7%, the minimum transmittance of said colored film at wavelengths of at least 600 nm but less than 700 nm is at least 80%, and the minimum transmittance of said colored film at wavelengths of 700 to 900 nm is at most 30%. |
