<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device, a navigation method, and a program capable of changing interruption timing with which automatic operation is interrupted.SOLUTION: The navigation device includes: demand prediction means which, when it is determined that there exists a cause of interruption ahead of a guide route for which automatic operation needs to be interrupted, predicts, on the state of a driver, whether or not the driver will demand the continuation of automatic operation at arrival at a place where the cause of interruption exists; limited vehicle speed acquisition means for acquiring a limited vehicle speed which is slower than the current vehicle speed when it is predicted via the demand prediction means that the driver will demand the continuation of automatic operation; tolerance determination means for determining whether or not the driver can tolerate a difference in traveling time when the driver would have traveled at the current vehicle speed and the limited vehicle speed from the current position to the place where the cause of interruption exists; and continuation setting means for setting up so that automatic operation is continued at the limited vehicle speed when it is determined via the tolerance determination means that the driver can tolerate.</p> |
