PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion device and an insertion method of a wire material which can insert the wire material easily in an intermediate position of a bundle of long workpieces with a simple structure, and provide a winding device of the long workpiece using the insertion device of the wire material.SOLUTION: An insertion device of a wire material 20, which inserts the wire material T in an intermediate position Pm of a bundle of long workpieces W wound around a drum 12 at a plurality of times, includes a wire material holder 22 which is supported by the drum 12 so as to swing, detachably holds the wire material T with a tip end side protruded, and swings between a first swing position P1 and a second swing position P2. In the first swing position P1, a tip end of the wire material T is arranged on one side from the intermediate position Pm. In the second swing position P2, the tip end of the wire material T is arranged on the other side from the intermediate position Pm. |
