PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door latch device for a vehicle, which improves assembly efficiency and achieves miniaturization.SOLUTION: A door latch device for a vehicle comprises an engagement section assembly 2 having an engagement mechanism 20 that engages with a striker on the vehicle body side, an operation section assembly 3 consisting of a first casing 401 to which an operation mechanism capable of switching a door between the locked state and the unlocked state can be assembled from one direction and a second casing 402 to which the engagement section assembly 2 can be assembled, and an outside lever rotatably supported on the engagement section assembly 2, and has positioning guide means 33, 51, 35 and 52 for guiding the engagement section assembly 2 to be assembled from the same direction as the assembly direction of the operation mechanism relative to the first casing 401. |
