<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear drive device that allows reaction forces due to acceleration or deceleration of a movable portion of a linear motor to be absorbed within a system so as to suppress vibration caused when the linear motor is driven, without making the device heavier and sturdier than necessary and without providing a separate actuator. <P>SOLUTION: A linear drive device comprises: a linear motor that has a movable portion which moves linearly; a moving direction converter that has a first movable element which is connected to the movable portion of the linear motor and moves linearly together with the movable portion, and a second movable element which moves linearly in a direction opposite to a direction in which the first movable element moves; and a weight that is provided in the first movable element, the second movable element, or the movable portion of the linear motor and that balances reaction forces acting on the first movable element and the second movable element, of the moving direction converter when the linear motor is driven. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
