Disclosed are an upper hinge member for a refrigerator, a manufacturing method thereof, and a jig unit used for the manufacture. The upper hinge member for a refrigerator comprises: a hinge member body coupled to a refrigerator body; and a rotary shaft coupling part bent from the hinge member body and in which a rotary shaft of a refrigerator door coupled to the refrigerator body to be rotated is inserted. The rotary shaft coupling part is bent by forging after being integrally formed with the hinge member body. According to the upper hinge member for a refrigerator, the manufacturing method thereof, and the jig unit used for the manufacture, the hinge member body and the rotary shaft coupling part are integrally formed without a welding process by bending the rotary shaft coupling part of the upper hinge member for a refrigerator through the forging of the jig unit after integrally forming the rotary shaft coupling part and the hinge member body; thereby conveniently manufacturing the upper hinge member for a refrigerator, reducing costs consumed for the manufacture, improving the durability of the upper hinge member for a refrigerator as a welded portion does not exist, and manufacturing the upper hinge member for a refrigerator at predetermined quality.
