PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user's convenience in coordination with an external device.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a communication unit (207) capable of transmitting a through image photographed by an imaging unit (201) to an external apparatus (10); and a control unit (213) that makes the communication unit to stand by transmission of the through image photographed by the imaging unit even when communication between the communication unit and the external apparatus is established and the imaging unit photographs the through image.
