<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce height of a connector by softening a spring piece of a shell even when the height of the connector is reduced.SOLUTION: A connector comprises a housing 40, a contact 50 held by the housing 40, and a shell 60 fitted around the housing 40. The shell 60 is provided with: an extension part 61 extending along a side wall 45 of the housing 40; and a spring piece 63 which is in contact with a ground contact of a mating connector. The spring piece 63 has: a base part 63a which protrudes from the extension part 61 in a direction orthogonal to an extension direction of the extension part 61 and is folded in the way that an end thereof is positioned inside the side wall 45; an intermediate part 63b which is extended in the extension direction from an end of the base part 63a; and a contact piece part 63c which is extended from an end of the intermediate part 63b in a direction orthogonal to the extension direction. The intermediate part 63b is separated from an inner surface of the side wall 45, and the contact piece part 63c is positioned inside the intermediate part 63b with respect to the inner surface and an end thereof faces a side where the mating connector is inserted.</p> |
