PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for decoding a video for pixel value compensating for each pixel group.SOLUTION: A method for decoding a video includes the steps of: obtaining a plurality of offsets from a bit stream when information to pixel value compensation obtained from the bit stream shows at least one of a pixel value band type and an edge type; applying one of the plurality of offsets to one pixel corresponding to one pixel value band among pixels of a current block when the information to the pixel value compensation shows the pixel value band type; and applying one of the plurality of offsets to one pixel corresponding to one edge pattern among the pixels of the current block when the information to the pixel value compensation shows the edge type.
