METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING LARGE-AREA CONTINUOUS COVERAGE OF PROGRAM IN DIGITAL AUDIO BROADCASTING

The present invention relates to a method and a system for implementing large-area continuous coverage of a program in digital audio broadcasting. The method comprises: setting part of carrier frequencies as public carrier frequencies, and setting the other carrier frequencies as service carrier frequencies; combining all the public carrier frequencies together to form seamless coverage of a large area; sending, by a transmission end, a public frequency channel number identifier and a program information list on the public carrier frequencies and sending a digital broadcasting program on the service carrier frequencies; recognizing, by a reception end, the public carrier frequencies according to the public frequency channel number identifier and receiving a digital broadcasting signal on the public carrier frequencies; for a selected specific program, searching for all broadcasting carrier frequencies of the selected specific program according to the received program information list, and performing reception by selecting the carrier frequency with a best signal quality; in a program reception process, monitoring the quality of a signal of another broadcasting carrier frequency; and if the quality of a signal of the current receiving carrier frequency reduces, continuing to receive the program by switching to another carrier frequency with better quality. By using the method and the system, large-area continuous coverage and seamless listening of a program can be implemented.
