The pressurization member includes a temperature adjustment part provided near an end portion in the longitudinal direction of the pressurization member and designed to control an amount of heat transmitted from the heater member.

A fixation apparatus to fix a developer image transferred on a recording medium, the fixation apparatus comprising: a fixation belt; a heater member configured to generate heat by a resistance heating element and heat the fixation belt; and a pressurization member provided on a position opposed to the fixation belt with the heater member interposed in between and configured to press the heater member against the fixation belt while being in contact with the heater member, wherein the pressurization member includes a temperature adjustment part provided near an end portion in a longitudinal direction thereof and configured to suppress an amount of heat transmitted from the heater member, such that an amount of heat transferred from the heater member to the pressurization member is smaller at the end portion as compared to a center portion of the pressurization member in the longitudinal direction, wherein the temperature adjustment part of the pressurization member comprises a groove that forms a gap between the temperature adjustment part and the heater member, such that a thickness of a region of the pressurization member where the groove is provided is approximately equal to a thickness of a region of the pressurization member where the groove is not provided.
