PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components of a fuel injection valve drive device.SOLUTION: A fuel injection valve drive device 1 includes a boost circuit 23 for boosting a battery voltage VB in charging a capacitor 21. In a charge/discharge path for the capacitor 21, a current path changeover switch 27 is disposed in series with the capacitor 21. Upstream of coils 13, switches 25 are disposed to play both the role of conducting a flow of discharge current from the capacitor 21 to the coils 13 and the role of conducting a flow of constant current to the coils 13 powered by the battery voltage VB. In the device 1, during a first period of conducting the flow of discharge current to the coils 13, the switch 27 is turned on, so that as the switches 25 are turned on, the discharge current flows from the capacitor 21 to the coils 13, and during a second period of conducting the flow of constant current to the coils 13, the switch 27 is turned off, so that as the switches 25 are turned on, the battery voltage VB is supplied upstream of the coils 13 via a boosting coil 31 and a charging diode 35. |
