<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus employing a flare developing method that suppresses scattering of toner with a simple configuration in discharging electric charges accumulated in a power accumulation unit such as a capacitor. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus which employs a flare developing method, in which developing is performed by floating toner with application of AC voltage, uses a power supply device. When an instruction for operating an interlock mechanism is detected, the power supply device reduces the AC voltage over and below a voltage VF for toner to start floating at a voltage reduction rate where regulation of toner can be maintained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
