<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the performance of an adsorption heat pump from being deteriorated, in the adsorption heat pump and an information processing system using the pump. <P>SOLUTION: The adsorption heat pump includes: an evaporator which evaporates a refrigerant; an adsorber which is connected with the evaporator and alternately switches the adsorption of the refrigerant evaporated in the evaporator and the desorption of the adsorbing refrigerant; and a condenser which is connected with the adsorber and condenses the refrigerant desorbed from the adsorber. The adsorption heat pump includes a valve 21 for preventing the backflow of the refrigerant. The valve 21 includes: a seat 41 on which a through-hole 41a is formed; and a sheet-like valve element 42 installed on the seat 41.
