Disclosed is a method for setting up an operation model of a gasification unit to stably operate a gasification unit of an integrated coal gasification combined cycle power system. The method for setting up an operation model of a gasification unit according to an embodiment of the present invention can calculate the thickness of slag from the amount of steam produced in the gasification unit, the amount of synthetic gas produced in the gasification unit, and the composition of the synthetic gas in real time by using a normal operation model, and thus can operate the gasification unit stably.
