<p>The full wave deghosting method involves numerically injecting real data acquired in the field into the acoustic wave equation so that it drives a numerical simulation on a simple model. The simple numerical model can be thought of as a homogeneous slab 20 encompassing the receivers 6 to be deghosted and centred at the depth of the receivers 6. The wavefield is injected at the same locations as the data were acquired. There are absorbing boundaries at the top 40 and bottom 44 of the slab’s surfaces. The injected data may include recorded pressure data and particle velocity data.</p> |
