<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cold offset at a low cost, while maintaining energy-saving performance of a fixing apparatus.SOLUTION: Heating means of a fixing member (fixing roller 128) includes a plurality of heating areas (thermal heater 156) formed in a longitudinal direction of a fixing member, which is orthogonal to a conveyance direction of a recording medium. Heating control means 142 controls a temperature of the fixing member independently for each of the heating areas, according to information on a position where an unfixed image is formed on the recording medium. A heating temperature of a non-image area is controlled to be lower than a control temperature corresponding to an image area (T2), and a heating temperature of the heating area corresponding to the non-image area is increased before the start of fixation of the image area by predetermined turns of a pressure member, according to a ratio of the non-image area for each of the heating areas (Ts).</p> |
