The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for remote management of an energy management system (EMS). The remote energy management system (EMS) device management method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: in a remote EMS device management method of a configuration management system (CMS) that communicates with an EMS component unit via a network, (a) receiving device information from the remote EMS device; (b) transmitting to the remote EMS device update information if the remote EMS device is determined to require an update on the basis of the device information; and (c) receiving from the remote EMS device an update completion signal indicating that the update has been completed.
