The present invention relates to an organic electroluminescent device, and provides an organic electroluminescent device comprising: a polyimide substrate comprising a polyimide film and a silicon oxide-containing barrier layer formed on at least one surface of the polyimide film; a first electrode formed on the polyimide substrate; an organic material layer formed on the first electrode; a second electrode formed on the organic material layer; and a light-transmissive layer formed on at least one of the upper and lower surfaces of the second electrode.
